If the animal is hurt or sick, skip this page and call a veterinarian. The rest is about the shop.

Are you a clinic?

No. We do not examine animals, diagnose them, or prescribe anything. A pad that is split, a nail torn back, a cat that has stopped eating, or a belly that goes tight after a meal is not a counter question.

Do you groom, or clip nails for people?

No. We sell a scissor clipper and we will show the angle on a card. We do not hold the dog or the cat. Declawing is not a service and not a conversation we will have.

Do you sell food?

No. No kibble, no raw, no treats. The slow bowls leave empty. Wash one before the first use. A slow bowl is not a treatment for bloat.

Can I order on this website?

No. The desk form does not take payment and does not send mail. It shows the note back on the next page so you can copy it. Cash and cards are at the counter. Call (607) 555-0172 during open hours if you want a size held until the next day we are open.

Do you ship?

No. The shop is the counter at 215 E State Street. We do not run a warehouse, and we do not box beds.

What can I bring back?

Bring goods back within 14 days with the receipt. We take back a bed, a lead, a bowl, or a clipper that has not been used. Once a bed has been slept on, a lead has been out in the wet, a bowl has been eaten from, or a blade seal is open, we do not take it back. If a stitch opens on a lead we sold, under ordinary walking, we resew that fold. If the base ring on a bowl comes off within 30 days, we replace the bowl.

Will you repair a lead you did not sell?

We will look. If a stitch opens on a lead we sold, under ordinary walking, we resew that fold. If the leather is dried out or chewed through, we will say so before we punch another hole. A cracked snap does not get a temporary ring.

Can my dog come in?

Yes, on a lead, if the dog can stand while you look. Cats in carriers. If the room is already tight, or the animal is already nervous, come back. From December through March there is a paw tub inside the door for salt. It is not there for a limping dog.

Are you open Monday?

No. Monday is for resewing and airing wool. The hours are on the door page. We are also closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Where do I park?

The Green Street garage, or a meter on the blocks around the Commons. We do not validate tickets. Walk to the east end of the Commons. The name is painted on the window.

Do you keep other animals, or other goods?

We do not sell animals and we do not board them. The shelf is wool beds, leather leads, slow bowls, and clippers. If you need a crate or a coat, it is not here.
