The door, the hours, the tub.

215 E State Street, Ithaca, New York 14850. We are at the east end of the Commons, where State Street meets traffic again near Aurora. If you are on the pedestrian blocks, walk east and look for the name painted on the window. It is not lit.

Monday the door is locked. That day is for resewing leads and airing wool in the back. The phone is not answered. The message names the hours. If a storm shuts East State, the same message will say so. We are also closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Parking and the walk in

The Green Street garage is the nearest public parking. Street meters sit on the blocks around the Commons. We do not validate a ticket. A leashed dog can come in if it can stand while you look at a lead. A cat comes in a carrier. If the shop is already tight, or an animal is already nervous, we will ask you to come back rather than push through it.

From December through March there is a low tub of water just inside the door. It is for paws that have walked salt on the Commons, before the dog crosses the floor to the beds. We change it when it goes cloudy, which on a Saturday is often before noon. It is a tub of water. It is not a grooming setup, and it is not there for a dog that is limping. A split pad needs a veterinarian.

Holding a size

Call (607) 555-0172 during open hours and we will hold a bed, a lead, a bowl, or a clipper until the next day we are open. We do not ship. The website form does not take payment and does not send mail. If you need an answer, use your own mail to desk@whiskerhollow.shop, or come to the counter.
